SafeSignal Pro is designed for fast, plug-and-play integration into modern mining and industrial vehicles through the OBD-II port — no wiring or splicing required. It automatically reads CAN messages to detect start, forward, and reverse gear positions, triggering a distinctive horn alert pattern to increase pedestrian awareness around moving equipment.
Flexible for Real-World Use
In vehicles with open or partially open CAN systems, SafeSignal Pro can send a CAN horn message directly to the body control module (BCM), triggering the factory horn with zero wiring.
However, in cases where the CAN bus is locked down or filtered (common in newer OEM platforms), the system can operate in a read-only mode. In this configuration, SafeSignal Pro:
- Monitors CAN traffic
- Triggers an external relay when gear states are detected
- Activates an auxiliary horn connected through a single wire
This ensures you still get full safety functionality without needing to spoof or interfere with the factory bus — perfect for compliance-conscious fleets or systems using encrypted CAN networks.
